Vehicles stopping in front of house/apt?

Is it normal for vehicles to drive by and pause for a minute or so in front of a house for no apparent reason? It's been happening to me a lot lately. I sit in my living room and a car or truck just stops slowly right in front of my window...

People either looking at houses to buy or if you live near an intersection, they may slow down to check if that's the right way or not. People slow down and pause whenever I'm outside butt-naked screaming at the squirrels to gimme back my nuts.
