Unwanted change

It's so odd. Not only have the reasons of wanting to CTB been weighing on me heavier than ever due to some extreme recent life disasters, for some odd reason the city I live in has been having a rash of changes, and most of the places I found comfort in are either changing, or closing. One fast food chain down the street is remodeling, after it had been the same for decades...a comfort to me as I worked and went to college year after year. Also, I went to go to a breakfast restaurant I've been going to the same decades, and it abruptly closed. The owner gave no warning. Whereas a lot of other people find comfort in familiar relationships, I've always found comfort in places and things. Of course everything changes. People, places, and things. I honestly have no idea how some people are happy.

I hate change too, and time can be a scary thing, but in our current society things change at a rapid speed. I find comfort in places too, you are not alone on that:)

I feel the same, I like my little habits, that's all I have left of comforting. it may sound weird but even the smallest changes can make my life miserable these days

Funny how having a place to hang, especially alone, can be a comfort. And then it closes.

I live in a place that is constantly changing as well. What's stupid is that it bothers me when even places I have no connection to close or change. Recently I realized that a burger place I only went to once or twice got torn down and replaced with a Starbucks. I felt really sad about it.
