How can ppl pull this off in a hospital?

I would most probably do the same in his place, cancer, 66 years old, and then corona?! That's too fucking much to ask of anyone to fight!!! And also his chances of survival were probably very very small if any at all, he probably would've died a very painful dragged out death, he chose something else, something I was a better choice, the choice I would make myself.
how he pulled it off? Well it was in the venting the doctors and nurses probably left him for the night so he did right after they left, probably used bed sheets pulled them over some railings or something and that's it, but then again, only he knows really how he did it.

I remember an Exit member with excruciating physical pain who was monitored closely enough, so that she couldn't get N delivered because of surveillance. She was so desperate from the torture she was going through, that she was considering to jump out of the window of her hospital room. In the end, she escaped the facility to jump from a nearby bridge :( Confirmed in the local newspaper (AU). Old person. Such determination. So sad.
Better to gather options before everything is lost and you become at the mercy of other person decisions
