Does anybody know good methods for telling people you SH? It's been bugging me since I started, and I fear the longer I go without people knowing I need some form of help the worse I'll get.

You might try the "toe in the water" approach. With this you suggest that you have considered self-harm in the past. If someone freaks out, there is no need to share more.
