Last weekend I was much more depressed than usual and could think of nothing except working up the courage. I felt like a zombie and had dark circles under my eyes. This weekend my thoughts have been racing since 4:00am, I feel dizzy, I'm doing extra work on a day off just for fun because it's so exciting, and I want to conquer the world. I know what happens next, the sweet delightful violent plunge into darkness again where I'm most comfortable. Each time a little higher, each time a little lower.

Do you go through these fluctuations pretty often? I mostly just go to rock bottom and come back to the baseline of numb misery.

I think I ought to be happy that you're atleast feeling somewhat good. Although, euphoria isn't a fully gold-plated spoon situation, more like a double-edged sword. Try not to crash is all I can say. And also, coming from a hypocrite sleeper, please try to get some good rest.

It's totally random for me, happens maybe a few times a year, I haven't kept track. But it's a blast.
