Discussion Too good to be true?

Hello everyone. I recently found this pdf, describing how to make a "device" with nothing but a shoelace to bring a rather quick, painless death. After struggling with the instructions for about an hour I finally managed to tie all the knots correctly just like in the pictures.

I'm definitely going to try when I get the chance, but I don't know, it seems... too good to be true? Put it around your neck, pass out, die within minutes... What do you guys think about it? Do you think it could work?

People hang themselves with shoelaces without the guide, it was done in prisons many times before they took shoelaces away, so it's definitely possible. People hang themselves with yarn or plastic bags if they have nothing else
