It's so hard for me, as soon as I imagine how my loved ones will be without me, and especially my son, I feel so bad, I so want to stop my torment, but worries about my family torment me even more. This is so hard( Does anyone else face such experiences?

If you have dependants, I think it would be worth to explore all options for coping/getting better. If you have, and you're still in this position, then I can't say anything else except that I feel your struggle and I hope you find the right solution for you.

I'm sorry, what is the essence of your situation

I started having a serious physical illness recently, I don't see any point in living like this, I don't have any mental illnesses. The son will stay with his mother, but I worry most of all about how he will be able to accept and survive this

My hunch is that the child will hate you for leaving him. It's not easy to understand for a child that a parent would choose to die instead of being in their life. If your condition has bad chronic pain included, and they see that, that might be a soothing factor for them, but otherwise I think it will be quite traumatizing.
On top of that, the death of a parent, especially a suicide might cause some very serious issues in a child, behavioural issues, mental health issues, trouble in school, those kinds of things. I had a friend years ago who killed himself a year after his dad died.

So consider it very carefully, if you want the best for you child suicide might not be the best option unless you're in constant, debilitating pain.

my mom attempted suicide 3 times, after we lost my little brother. the hell i experienced that day (her first attempt) goes untold...

i would beg you not to do it to your son. i wouldn't want my worst enemy to experience such pain. it changed me forever.

I have a 12 year old daughter, but she hasn't lived with me since she was three (long story, but nothing bad on my part). She has a life I can't give her: stability and a good home. She doesn't even call me "dad."

Do you have a diagnosis for your condition or have you explored any options for treatment? With a child to leave behind I would strongly encourage you to seek some treatment for their sake. If you have a diagnosis and have been told that it is terminal then I would strongly recommend getting your child in therapy now so they can begin to process things while you're still here.

I didnt refer to my father as the "D" word until after he was gone. I always lived with my mother since I was a toddler, but his death nearly killed me at the age of 26. That's when I found a weirdo off craigslist as a partner to help. It's never too late with kids.
