How do those suicide cases succeed in one try regarding SI . They don't think moments before how "this is a permanent act and will never experience whatever in life again" like some of us here?. I tried many times and each time the only thing that stopped me is SI. They get pissed angry then they go ahead hang themselves right that day. This is one case where someone's family didn't let him choose his desired module in University so he hanged himself. How ? Don't they have strong SI like us?
Pls don't say maybe it was not impulsive when they do it on the same day

For some people, there can be particular triggers that set things off more than it would in others hence why the example you gave of someone who was denied his desired module and chose to do what he did instead.

The thing is, SI manifests so differently in people that in response to a situation like the aforementioned one, many wouldn't ever think the best thing to do is to end their own lives plus I guess circumstances, as always, play a factor as in whether or not, they can act upon that decision right then and there without allowing any conflict to surface in not doing so and lastly, perhaps it was something they had been thinking of for quite sometime but never had any reason to act on it until something happens, it's quite a complicated thing to discuss.

Its like one of those real world examples where someone does ctb after a heated argument, things were probably boiling under with the heated argument just being such a change that allowed emotional and mental barriers to lower where they could follow through.

I'm what people would've the impulsive ctber! I'll try to shortly explain how it is. I've had some failed attempts fyi.

Everyday since I was a child, I only wish to die! History of traumatic events as a child, being adopted and feeling alone, adults events, and my children events is always too much. I never have a time of piece and happiness in my life. There's never a day I'm happy and excited to wake up.

Knowing everything I wrote it feels like I carry all these issues around as if I'm shaking a soda can. The impulse comes in if something else is added. I don't mean small things because nobody's life is perfect, but adding a new big problem. It just becomes too much and I can't process it, can't accept and so the active thoughts comes in. That thought is so strong so I quickly prepare and do it. Truthfully, that thought has been there since I was a child. I understand why people call it impulsive but I sort of disagree. It's not like a person has a random bad day then goes home and ctb.

Do my attempts mean I'm bluffing and nor serious? Absolutely not. How you measure them is your decision, but I feel and hurt just like everyone else during an attempt. Hopes this clears this up. I see this topic a lot on here so I decided to respond.
