Some thoughts:
The Tarot is a precise and sensitive instrument when one uses it to look within oneself.
Think of it as a compass for the soul.
To prepare for your reading:
Turn off any sounds on your phones, or computer. Mute your TV, and radio.
Dim any lights.
Go the toilet if you have to.
Try to sit comfortably, or ideally, lie down.
The Inner and Outer Screens:
Find a spot on the wall or ceiling opposite to you to focus on.
Imagine a white screen centered at this point.
This is the Outer Screen.
Close your eyes.
Focus on a point on the insides of your eyelids.
This is the Inner Screen.
The two screens are where you will project your thoughts, feelings, emotions, and your imagination.
Breathing exercises:
Breathe like a baby does: when you inhale, your belly should get full.
Exhale, and your belly goes back to normal.
Take deep breaths.
Do so ten times. In. Out. In Out.
And then, ten more.
And then, ten more times.
Breathe, deep, slow, and purposefully, while gazing your Screens.
