I used to watch this video all the time. This Friday marks the twelve-year anniversary of when NJN (New Jersey Network) signed off for the last time after forty years. They couldn't have signed off better.

After 40 years of service as the state of New Jersey's public television and radio network, the New Jersey Network (NJN) came to an end on June 30th, 2011 due to budget cuts by Governor Chris Christie. Here are the last few moments of the final NJN News broadcast. Then after NJN's final TV program ("Theatre Talk"), one last NJN News story is aired, followed by a farewell message just before midnight.

As of 12:00 AM on July 1st, 2011, the network became "NJTV", now under the ownership of New York City's PBS affiliate, Channel 13 WNET, which will be providing a limited schedule of 20 hours per week of New Jersey-specific programming on the former NJN TV stations.
