One of the hardest parts in my journey was accepting that there are still going to be bad days. You know, you can be good on Monday and Tuesday but then Wednesday just sucks the life out of you and that makes Thursday tainted by association. I once had a therapist tell me that wasn't normal but it is what it is I guess.

I think it's unrealistic to say that the bad days will stop. Even in a magical world where I took Lexapro and meditated, there will still be notable anniversaries and the like. But I think one of the biggest recovery indicators is when the bad days are better than they were before. You gain coping skills and self esteem and it's just a little bit easier to manage.

Has this been the case for anyone else?

Absolutely. It's like a roller coaster that is progressively going down more than up, but then the track changes so the downs aren't as deep or as infinitely dark as they were.
It's still up and down but the X-axis has shifted lower on the Y.
Sorry if I'm not explaining it well. But that is how I feel it.

Ugh.words bad.
