I read about firearms in Megatrade. I read it all and found some absurd things. I'd like to discuss some things with you. Please explain to me how it's possible that a person who puts the barrel of a 12-gauge shotgun in his mouth—and by put in his mouth, I mean put in his mouth, not superficially or behind his teeth. Explain to me how he could survive, how is such a thing even conceivable? I'm talking about the 12-gauge, but I could also talk about other important calibers, even in handguns, even a .44 or a .500 magnum. I mean, people really think that with a 12-gauge shotgun there's a 1% chance of survival, and 1% is a lot. This shows you don't know physics and have no idea of the power of that weapon, the gases released in the mouth, and the pressure-cooker effect that a shot like that creates in a closed space like the skull. And then I don't understand the obsession with the brainstem. Most people who die from head shots miss the brainstem. And finally, I'll conclude by saying that there is no documented case in the scientific literature of survival from a 12-gauge shot after the barrel was pushed deep into the mouth. It really doesn't exist.
If we then mean that the person who shot himself under the chin, aiming for the outermost base of the chin, or who grazed his head, survived, then we're talking about something entirely different. However, in a suicide by firearm, the target is practically very close; the target is a vital area. And finally, I'd like to point out that until less than 50 years ago, people committed suicide with guns that emitted 78/80 joules. In the mega-trade of weapons, it seems impossible to die with weapons that emit 3,000 joules or more. This is to say that I interpreted it as a dissuasive and completely unrealistic mega-trade.
