Terrified of a welfare check (Canada)

I ordered from DMC in February and my package shipped in March. It has been stuck in customs since then. I've seen posts about welfare checks occurring and I'm scared. I used a PO Box for my order but they'll probably find my address.

I'm currently renting a basement apt and it'll be really embarrassing if the police came to my landlords door and they found out.

I'm sorry you have to go through this. It's so inhumane what governments are doing to their citizens. It's not acceptable but (elected) governments write the rules and laws. I'm sorry, you have to go through this.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. I left Canada in 2014 because of the psychiatric nightmare from the age of 19 to 49 - 30 years of increasing psychiatric violence, oppression and loss of rights. I'm so sorry you're in that.

It's just so cruel to me how they make it into a crime wanting the choice to cease existing on our own terms, it's such a dreadful world where there is no acceptance towards the right to die with the suffering of human existence seen as to force and prolong no matter what but anyway I wish you the best, I hope you find the relief you search for.

The hypocrisy is that assisted suicide is legal in Canada. So suicide is perfectly legal if the government approves your desire for suicide as being valid and if you approve that they hold your hand through the suicide.

But if you are suicidal because of mental illness it's illegal for them to do it or for you to do it. That's been caught up in the courts for years, from day one. Idiots.

Oh, and they don't have the balls to call it assisted suicide in Canada. They call it MAID - medical assistance in dying. Really? Convoluted idiots. I think they should just call it what it really is - murder. Plain and simple murder. Government-approved murder carried out by the government - a murder which is often the result of an intolerable life made more intolerable particularly for people with mental illness. Plain and simple murder. No need to sugar-coat it by calling it MAID.

But I also hate the term assisted suicide because it's putting the onus on the dying person for dying. Wrong. It's just wrong. We can be dead long before dying by suicide or being murdered.

Man, I am also from Canada. It sounds like Canadians may have a hard time purchasing from DMC. Is there even a point to ordering anymore?
