I have been injured and stuck at home for a long, long time. I hear a common theme about how bad the world has become. If i were to have a miracle occur and be able to go out into the world again just exactly what all would i see? How has it changed in the last couple decades? Im in the usa and i think i may know a couple things that are worse with people here.

It's bad enough that humans have earned their annihilation as a species for what utter garbage failure it is.

I live in great country with social assistance for sick and disabled. Despite all support, I feel miserable, anxious and other shit.

The world from my angle is truly , truly despicable. People are barely human anymore as they are shamelessly narcissistic and also deeply cynical , bitter and hateful. The divide between haves and have nots is absolutely revolting. I really wish this ball would blow to pieces. I live in England and the amount of misery here is immense. But I observe people who don't appear to be suffering and wonder how they can stomach everything , I feel like something from another galaxy. How do they stomach this rat race, this endless jumping through hoops the endless pressures. I'm trying to be positive as I know people don't want "negative' people around but I just view the 21st century as a complete and utter hellscape.

Everything is just all rosey and peachy keen, don't cha know. Actually, the totality of the situation you're in is, pretty much, a microcosm of how the world is. There's more and more apathy every day and a general sense of doom, I think. Greed is rampant. Honesty is a thing of the past. Hope barely still flickers. Lying, cheating, scumbags can get elected to office and no one cares. Most people are in survival mode just trying to make it to the next day. Talk of better days and a future is rare.

As bad as things undeniably are across the board, I often think about how incomprehensible it is that the present is just our current experience preceded by millions of years of events. I sometimes dissociate entirely from that fact that history exists, and happened, and underpins every single thing that we know and don't know now. We have "better" technology and access to global industry, but to say we're better off than our ancestors... I don't know. Maybe my opinion is skewed by my strong suspicion that I wouldn't survive ANY era of human history, let alone today.

There's a lot of good out there too, I'm sure... but maybe due to my terrible media choices lately, all disturbing videos and murder cases and gore, I feel drowned in misanthropic despair.
