A "good" alternative probably doesn't exist. The PPH lists Dramamine, a motion sickness otc drug, as an alternative. How good it will work I can't say.

You're going to vomit regardless of taking an AE, or not. It's about keeping "it" down as long as possible, to allow as much as possible, to enter your system.

The iffy thing about Dramamine though is that you can get a fast heart rate. I got a fast heart rate when I tried it :/

No. Even following the best protocol, the likelihood of you vomiting is extremely high. The body will view SN ingestion as an invasive poison and will do whatever it can to expel it (vomit). By taking an AE, you're really just trying to "fool" the body, but it will only work for a short time and it's only going to delay the inevitable. That delay gives more time for SN absorption.

I don't know of anything else otc. I suppose taking a substance that will only exacerbate (probably) an already faster beating heart, due to the anxiety of the stressful situation, is probably not a great idea.
