I have a stomach that is a bit more acid than most, is SN still a possibility?

I worry too because my digestive tract isn't great after having gallstones and my gallbladder removed a few years back.

Still- I figure- if we still can digest food, then SN will surely go the same route. I know antacids have been removed from the latest PPH but I'm tempted to keep them in. Maybe they would help combat your higher acidity? Please don't take my word for it though! I'm no expert- just a thought really.

Actually, I'm assuming my bile now goes to my tummy rather than being stored in the gallbladder- especially after fasting I imagine. Always assumed bile was acidic but it looks like maybe it's more alkaline when not stored in the gallbladder. Wish I'd paid more attention in science...

I've met a guy with a colon cancer and he allegedly went out with the SN method, so as long u can digest normal food it should be fine.
This is my hope atleast since i have colon issue too

There are enteric-coated capsules that you can fill yourself. These capsules do not dissolve until they reach the intestines. SN poisoning is achieved by the substance being absorbed in the small intestine. I'm not sure if this is helpful but it is perhaps worth it to look into?

Hmm, that's interesting. I've read of people advising against gelatine capsules but specific ones that make it to the intestine sound like a good idea. Don't suppose you know if anyone has tried them?

I was curious- so googled them. Bit concerning that it says they can take up to 2 hours to break down in the small intestines.

Perhaps it would slow down the absorption? Perhaps it would prevent nausea and vomiting, and any effect of stomach acid? Perhaps symptoms such as fast heart rate, etc. would last longer?

It's all speculation until someone tries and documents.

i have gastroparesis and i'm trying tonight or in the morning. this condition slows down the absorption in the stomach and makes food take longer to digest. SN is my only option.

Yeah- so true. We're all guinea pigs with whatever method we choose at the end of the day. It's so horrifying really.

Still- it's a good idea in principle. I don't think a lethal dose is that high is it? So I guess it's not like the full amount needs to be released for it to work. Plus, I guess there may not be any symptoms if the cap is swallowed clean- until it dissintegrates. Not sure I'd be brave enough to try it but it's a clever work around. Thanks for posting it.

Yeah, this was brought up by another member not too long ago. It is a theoretical method and as far as is known, has never been tested irl. One important aspect that is unknown is what the affects will be from the SN as it will be "slow-released" in the intestines as the capsules dissolve over a long period of time.

Thank you. You too. Yes, I've read of people testing it but I think it's so unwise. Even a small amount can cause someone to pass out. People have fallen over and smashed their heads on things. Panicked and called emergency services resulting in their SN being confiscated and a psyche ward stay. I do understand the curiosity in just how bad the symptoms might be but realistically- I would have thought just taking a small amount would be different to the full dose anyway. Horribly, we're not going to know it will work I suspect until/unless we have the guts to do it for real. I hate it that we're having to put ourselves at so much at risk.

Thank you. It's clear you are a very caring person. I think a lot of people here are actually. I'm sorry that so many people suffer. Honestly, I'm not sure where I stand on God now. I'm more in the atheist camp I suppose but that's partly from hope. I hope there isn't a God because- if there is one, I don't like being at the mercy of a being that clearly has narcissistic/sadistic traits.
