not for myself, but for other people. I've realised that I have a hard time answering any questions people have about methods without giving them more cons than pros. Though the cons are valid for not wanting them to end up living as a vegetable with brain damage, i realise it still comes across as discouraging. I want to be helpful, but at the same time I don't want to encourage people either.

It's the same with shedtwt. Semi active, but it's my own vents and diaries rather than commenting under tweets about bmi checks and reassuring them they're starving correctly. How do you make friends with someone like you without actively making things worse for them and then also not "fix them" because you think they deserve better?

You don't need to be a cheerleader for the self destruction of others. Refraining from harming them should be sufficient.

Discouraging is better than encouraging. Encouraging suicide is always weird no matter the situation. Telling someone info that they need is okay but they should be the sole decision maker not you and not anyone else.
