Discussion Started reading a book from childhood to escape. What's your favourite childhood book?

I've got a shitty situation with my bf and his family and I've been so dissociated lately. I know it's a bad coping mechanism but I don't know what to do with that yet. Till my therapist and I figure something out I'm going to be rereading one of my favourite childhood series to escape even more.

I used to really love The Sisters Grimm book series as a kid. I used to reread those books a lot when I was younger and I even reread all the books again last year since they were all on the internet archive library.

I remember loving The Neverending Story. The worldbuilding and the storyline fascinated me for some reason. I would really like to reread the book sometime but it just seems very exhausting.

loved all books by roald dahl, especially matilda. i also liked the girl who drank the moon.
