Peered in here, not in recovery as much as just making sure I see all my dusty corners before I settle up the ledger.
That comment was insightful for me in some ways. On the one hand fairly upfront, on the other for good reason at times, been harsh with myself. Workin towards staring in to each pain I caused and felt, harshly at times weighing the worth of each moment to myself, just to be sure I have a clear view of who I am by what Ive done, intentions or not. Your comment still rings true for me though I would give another more slack than myself but I know a fair bit of me.
Self love,..that pricks my ears a bit. Cant say I ever really loved myself, was a tool to help others, and dished out some kindness at times, but cant say I felt that for myself, another no problem. Will have to think on that one.
