If you succeed in CTB with SN, does anyone know if your organs any good for donation? It would be nice to give people who actually want to live a chance at doing so.

You cannot donate your organs after suicide.

Your organs must be alive to be harvested and, as we all know, if you're found alive after a ctb attempt, you've lost the battle.

Poisoning also renders the use of any body parts impossible.

I'm guessing only medical experts would be able to answer this, but I do know time is of the essence. Any tissue or organ damage can make donation impossible, and that doesn't take very long. They prefer young people who die from trauma (car accidents), since you probably don't have widespread organ failure and they can put your body on life support immediately. But @UpandDownPrincess is right. They all but rule out suicides, if only because they can't be sure exactly when you died.

This makes sense. Especially if they don't know what poison you took, etc.

Is autopsy the norm in suicide cases? Would a suicide note near the corpse be enough to deter further investigation?

Unless you end up brain dead with organs in salvageable condition*** rare but possible. I would say SN and most other suicide methods except for some slow acting ODs preclude us from organ donation in general unfortunately.

In the US, yes, a forensic autopsy is required in all suspected suicides. A suicide note wouldn't make any difference.

Yeah,I remember Dave Duerson and Junior Seau (NFL players) shot themselves in the heart when they CTB so that their brains could be studied for cte.

Yes I was reminded about it during the Aaron Hernandez documentary CTE is a very real thing. I think in most of our cases the findings maybe real.
