there are some websites which sell sn in india but i think they require ID and someone in this forum said police is visiting home after purchasing sn online
What ?? That's shocking man !! I thought we can buy SN like common salt in India.

You need sodium nitrite not sodium nitrate. You can find lots of websites selling them with simple google search.
Yeah I thought the same.
Someone please clear the air on SN acquisition in India leading to police visit. It's making me paranoid. SN is a key fallback method for me incase things so south soon.

I need to know too man, i preferably would wanna go quite without anyone knowing and if police get's involved it's gonna become way too annoyingI don't know the law in India, but it will likely be the same in every country where it is a controlled substance i.e only those who need it are allowed it, such as businesses etc.
If that's how India runs, if you purchase said item, they will automatically assume it is for the incorrect use unless purchased through a business or education establishment. What happens, is if it's through customs, it gets seized and a welfare check is usually done on the address that has ordered it. It is then destroyed.
It will be very difficult to get SN through customs, and so you may be able to find it only in a local source to India - you may have to browse google and look through Indian websites to see if you can find somewhere that will sell it without a business address and/or personal ID.
