I really want to overdose on 50 codeine pills stolen from my father. I have in total 1500mg of codeine, and it's combined with paracetamol so that's 25000mg paracetamol too. However, I know this on it's own likely wouldn't kill me, so I mostly want to know how badly it would affect me. I've tried to overdose on just paracetamol before, I can't remember how much I took but I threw up for like a week afterwards, but no known liver damage. Secondly, is there anything I could combine this with to make it actually work?? Not necessarily more pills, maybe slitting my wrists or something. I know it's stupid but I really want to use these pills somehow, it's symbolic or something like that.

Usually it's the acetaminophen that causes the issue with those combo drugs. I've never heard of a codeine OD success.

You'll get wasted as fuck and have the highest few moments of your life, then you pass out and wake up in a hospital. At least that's how it worked for me.

Oh, interesting. I always assumed that because it was a stronger painkiller, it would cause more issues if you take a lot of it. I googled it and saw a couple pages saying it can result in death, but maybe that's just a "worst case scenario" kind of thing. Thanks.

Basically every drug warns that it can result in death, but most of the time it doesn't. Only 1% of all ODs are successful. As you've experienced, people tend to throw up after they ingest poisons, which keeps them alive. That's why the poison regimens here all include metoclopramide.

Haha. I've been codeine-high a few times, I've never liked the feeling. If you don't mind me asking, how was the hospital like? One of my biggest fears is going to the hospital after attempting, especially when all the staff would know I tried to ctb. I'm also curious as to how long you felt the high for. You don't need to answer either of those, if you don't want to.
