Happy or sad, doesn't matter. Tell me a memory you can't forget from your childhood

Duck and cover drills in 2nd grade. The wall of windows made us doubt our chances. We would not die from radiation!

Mine is silly, i was playing with this giant ball with my cousins. It's hazy and I'm not quite sure but I remember laughing out loud. I felt very warm, not hot, but alive. I distinctly remember feeling my limbs more vividly, like i was pulled back into my body. Even then i remember thinking, was it numbness I've been feeling my whole life?

I was crawling under a table, and I had some kind of seizure where I froze up. It lasted several seconds, then wen't away. It was a scary feeling also one I wanted to experience again over the years. It was almost erotic. Strange I will always remember it.

I remember I game from wayy back in elementary school we used to play. We basically said random BS to "attack" the other person and they'd say random BS in response to deal with that and strike back. That was it, pretty basic and childish. We called it "Factory Wars" and would usually play it under the overhang outside a double-door of the gym building /w concrete bellow. Pretty fun until the novelty wore off.

I was the one who created the concept.

Me and my friend to this day attempted to kill a baby bird with a hunk of concrete when we were roughly 11. Our reasoning was that its mother abandoned it and it was too weak to live anyways. Instead we put the ckncrete down and took to a 50 year old man in our complex known for taking in stray animals. His apartment was chock full of cages, cats, dogs and reptiles. Basically everything. He nursed it to adulthood and let it go.

I hate every single moment from my childhood, but i will share one.
Once you finished elementary school, they organised this celebratory trip/holiday to switzerland.
It was 2 weeks of hiking in the mountains. The nature was so beautiful, the air was so clean. Walking through rivers, seeing cows and so on.
Ofcourse some girl got hurt and they needed to call this helicopter ambulance and all the normie kids got excited, were standing around her, making sadistic remarks, generally being happy she was hurt.
we once climbed this mountain and this sight was like something out of the lord of the rings

There's a scene in the Netflix show "The Sandman" where the main character, Dream, has a fight with The Devil literally just like this haha.

Anyways, my story is about elementary school. My 4th grade teacher, who followed me to 5th, was just so mean to my friends and I for no reason. She got me kicked off the robotics program because I talked a bit in her class. One time I was at lunch (currently being supervised by a DIFFERENT TEACHER because I was in the gifted program) she walked all the way across the lunchroom to tell me and a friend that we were being "children" and should grow up. Mind you, we were children, and we literally weren't doing anything at all. She also routinely refused to accept the fact that I had tourette's and would tell me stop making noise and shit. She got into an argument with my mom about it once lol.

Playing with my neighborhood friends.... Halloween night... Christmas morning.... Birthday parties with cake, ice cream, and party favors.

Oh, how I miss those times.

I was at a camp with horses but I couldn't stay the night because I was afraid of sleeping alone. They made two older girls play with me, but I knew they were so annoyed so I took a scooter and left the property the camp was on and when I came back everyone was going crazy cuz apparently they thought I was missing. I just wanted to go down a hill really fast!

Climbing up a tree because I was dared too by these girls who I thought liked me but really were making fun of me the whole time.
Ended up getting stuck because I used to be scared of heights (it wasn't that bad) and thennnnn the teachers came out and tried to help me down, (my leggings ripped because of a branch) and then I ran to the bathroom and cried until my older sister came.

I'll share a couple that I find amusing in the context of the site.

When I was somewhere between 5 and 10, I put 1 end of a hose in the exhaust of the car and the other end in the window (wasn't running I'm pretty sure). I kinda remember it wasn't for any particular reason either. My parents really freaked out when they saw it.

Another was when I was probably closer to 5. I somehow managed to cut up a power plug and connect it to a battery I think it was. I turned it on and the connection at 1 end basically just blew apart. My parents freaked out about that one too.

But yeah it's funny now, maybe it is possible to receive thoughts from the future.

I remember one girl got her head stuck between the beams of a bench. It sat outside one of the classrooms with the top beam sawn in two- probably as a warning to the rest of us not to stick our heads through things.

I remember a friend and I found this pills bottle with weird white granuals in. We were like- it's drugs! I suppose it may have been but, probably prescribed. Lol. Everythings's a sort of adventure at that age.

The power went out in the middle of the night, and the change in temperature woke me up. The whole house was asleep. All doors were open— assuming someone woke up before me and did that. I was too young to even be scared of the dark, I remember walking around and watching everything in it's perfect tranquility. The quietness of the night.

That memory doesn't even feel like it's mine anymore
