Not sure where to post this but since Scott Adams does political commentary I thought I'd put it here.

Scott Adams, the creator of the famous Dilbert office themed cartoon and author of books on his social commentary, philosophy and how to attain success shared a few months ago that he has advanced prostate cancer and didn't expect to make it through the summer.

On his podcast today he said that he's been put on a hormone blocker that has alleviated his pain and pushed out his life expectancy. He also shared that he had gone through all the preliminary steps to take advantage of "death with dignity" laws in the US and had panned to end his life today. Since he's feeing much better he's decided to stick around and share his positive outlook on life.

This guy is an alt-right grifter, I would take evrrything he says with a gtain of salt. Especially the part about hormone blockers curing cancer.

See the 'political views' section of his wikipedia page.

I don't know much about the guy but glad for him that he can go for VAD if needed. My dad got a good 3 years of quality on hormone blockers after his diagnosis, he ended up on palliative care and hospice, last 6 months in a lot of pain. I'm sure he would have chosen VAD but we're in uk where we won't let the dying die in peace.

I wondered about that and how it would go over with some crowds given the association with other hot issues. A quick search got conformation from various esteemed sources that it's a valid cancer treatment. This one's from NIH

Too bad UK doesn't offer VAD.

He says he had terminal camcer. Yet the source you mentioned states:
Most prostate cancers eventually stop responding to hormone therapy and become castration (or castrate) resistant.
Very dubios claim that doctors essentially tried to put him down when there were still trreatments left to try.

Also wdym by "some crowds"? Naturally I'm going to be sceptical when an anti-vaxxer claims some magic treatment healed him.
