I'll be deleting this eventually because of the image inclusion. Please no comments about the ethics of this method, trust me, I've heard enough.

I plan to decapitate myself underneath a train. This is the exact model of train that I will use.
My question is, will my head fit under the cattle guard thing? and, does it matter?

I go back and fourth about being worried about this because I figure if your head is in any sort of position infront of a moving train, you're fucked, but it never hurts to ask for input.
If I wont fit, I'm assuming a better alternative method would just be sitting down or laying with my torso over the tracks and hoping for the best?
I don't want sudden anxiety about this to arise in the midst of an attempt.

I've tried to include the best images with people for scale beside the train. Let me know if they won't open for whatever reason.

I think the main issue is knowing if you would be able to overcome survival instinct.
Facing a giant vehicle getting close to you can freak out most people, let alone knowing it will go over your neck.

Oh yeah trust me, I know. I've attempted this before and stood up a minute or two before the train was coming, I know exactly how it feels.

I'm mostly just looking for advice on the practical aspect. If I'll fit or not and if it actually matters when you're… getting hit by a train

Well, then I think it doesn't matter. If the cattle guard thing hits your head, you would die as well, and your head would be crushed. Maybe it could go wrong if you were on your knees (instead of laying down), as the impact could push you out of the track. But laying down would concentrate your mass on the floor and avoid that I think.
Anyway, that's a very specific scenario and I don't think anyone here can talk about it, as this method is uncommon.

I'm actually reprising an almost identical post made about a month ago so it's not too uncommon. But yeah, most people wouldn't choose this type of death due to the ethical concerns and bodily damage.

I feel like as long as the train was at full speed just getting hit would be enough?? Am I wrong? Because it may be scary and it may be unpopular as far as methods go but it also seems super simple and probably pretty hard to screw up

It depends on what you mean by 'full speed'. The trains don't go very fast in my specific location but it's dark, on a blind corner and isolated and I KNOW nobody will be there to stop me which is why I chose it.

'just getting hit' has a lot of variables and I'd rather my death be as guaranteed as possible and decapitation by train is pretty certain. It is generally pretty simple but I've seen a couple people on here fussing about the cattle guard which started to make me anxious too (eventhough I doubt it matters when you're getting plonked by a huge vehicle directly on your head regardless).
