Not out of the mud of life yet :ahhha:

But proud (I guess?) that I'm returning the SN for now.
(didn't wanna just throw in garbage; plus it's still in its shrink-wrap packaging & was kept in a cool dark place)

Mainly because I don't have anything else required in the SN protocol and unwilling to put myself through the system for them (and felt stupid lol coz clearly I didn't think things through when purchasing).

Plus I found out an ornamental plant that can be used instead lol (requires effort too, but at least seems like it's more likely than SN - or maybe not? Provided, like SN, I'm able to make sure I won't be found for a significant amount of time and am able to surpress SI)

Glad the company is open to taking it back tho. and glad I won't be reported (I think/hope so anyway - I doubt the use of SN to CTB is known in my region)

Not getting a refund tho coz it's way past the refund window - feeling a small pinch of regret but it's okay, price paid for doing things without thinking it through.

Trying to get on a different drug instead: candy-flipping deluluAsTheSolulu with sedentary woo-woo 😅 and the occasional retail therapy when I do manage to secure the occasional freelance gig.

Wish me luck! Imma need loads coz I'm so not interested in putting effort into life anymore (haven't for a while now anyway heh)

If being too footloose and fancy free allows times where you feel too close tot he edge, you might want to get an anchor for your life. It doesn't have to be anything big. Something like a pet or a weekly activity and be something that helps to center things.

Having a pet is a terrible anchor; that's how so many pets get abandoned. I had to be the primary caregiver to pets I didn't adopt because of this advice, and I ended up with so much frustration and resentment. Please stop advising people to get living, breathing organisms - they aren't toys you can return to the store or abandon as and when you'd like.

Unfortunately for me, haven't found an anchor that I don't end up resenting - hope that advice helps others though 👍

You should be proud! This is such an amazing step for recovery, I'm at least very proud of you .

Sadly this is the reality. Despite the immense love I have for my cat, and her being my anchor, I almost left her earlier this year. I have broken down crying so many times thinking about how lonely she would have felt without me. I think in somebody's darkest hours, where they just can't see in the perspective of others, they end up abandoning their pets...

But for me, my cat is my anchor. I refuse the urge to ctb for as long as I have my baby girl in my life, or rather for as long as I'm in her life.
