• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

    👉 View the ledger here

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

    Donate via cryptocurrency:

in order to use the charcoal method I have to light the chimney starter with the charcoal inside with newspapers on the bottom, then poor cold water on the starter and wait for the smoke to dissipate then I bring the chimney starter in a small room ( a bathroom of car) and wait? Is that all? I'm sure i want to use this method and I don't want to do this wrong. Just need somebody who has tried this method to correct me if I'm wrong.
i looked at the resource page it wasn't very clear to me.

From my understanding reading the CO megathread and results from the site search function...

Light with newspapers on bottom

When coals are ashy and no longer smoking or glowing, spread them out in a container, one example is a galvanized metal bucket

Underneath the bucket, place a container with water to draw down the heat I don't think this step is absolutely necessary, but from what I understand, which could be somewhat in error, charcoal releases more CO when it has cooled)

Put both in the enclosed space where you intend to ctb to build up PPM of CO

Wait awhile, then enter the enclosed space. As per the diagram in the megathread, higher PPH = less symptoms and quicker death.
