• Hey Guest,

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

So, those stimulus checks we're meant to get...

My money is always tied up in bullshit and bills. My paychecks basically disappear as soon as I get them. So... this 1200 dollars is an opportunity I don't want to waste.

I'm thinking of purchasing a firearm. Buy some weed/food etc... with the rest. Quit my job. Have a little party until I run out... maybe a couple weeks of freedom with no bills or responsibilities.... and then finish it.

Anyone else consider doing something similar? Is my plan something you'd find appealing?

Your plan sounds perhaps appealing, but also like potentially screwing yourself over. I can imagine doing the same and kicking the shit out of myself for it later. Not being judgemental, just remembering how I too rationalized such choices in the past and ended up regretting them.

The only thing that's keeping me from doing it is the lack of a reliable method. Guns are pretty reliable. If someone handed me one right now I wouldnt even finish typing this post... know what i'm saying?

had a good laugh. thanks. all seriousness, you don't want to back yourself into a corner

Wasn't even trying to be funny. I'm tired of working and sending my money away. Tired of struggling upstream. I want a little break, before the big break.

I do. But things come up when we don't expect them. I get buying the gun, but the rest...not intending a pun here but it could blow up in your face. God forbid that circumstances rather than choice push you to the act. Just speaking from life experience. I respect your right to do what you choose. Had you not brought it up, I wouldn't have responded, but I'm not going to push my views on you, nor throw any "told you so" at you if you follow through and later find you need support for what may turn out to have been disempowering decisions.
