• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

It's a lot of bureaucracy to file the application, also you most likely need to be chronically ill to be approved by Dignitas.
I'd advise you to have a look at their website for further information http://www.dignitas.ch/index.php?lang=en

I don't have experience, but if I recall one of the users here emailed them and according to that user, getting approved is almost impossible if the person doesn't have a chronic disability, illness, or terminal illness, and isn't of old age (elderly/seniors). With that said, I think you would have better success rates with methods on here versus getting into Dignitas and getting the greenlight to be euthanized.

I've looked into it in the past and I contacted them via e-mail. I could dig out the response if I had the energy to. Maybe a little bit later if I find it I'll post it here. The guy basically said that they do take patients who are suffering from mental illness. It doesn't have to be a terminal physical illness. If you have a mental illness that is severe enough to actually interfere with your ability to even live......they will take you as a patient. The only catch is that it is a long process. You have to go through extensive evaluation in order to be approved. There are two options: 1) You have to shop around and hope that you are lucky enough to find a therapist who approves of euthanasia, and is willing to work with you and Dignitas to evaluate you for approval.... or 2) You can move to Switzerland, and you can do the evaluation right at Dignitas. If I recall correctly, he said that the process would likely take around 3 months before being approved. I could do it if I wanted to. I would definitely be approved. The thing is......it's outrageously expensive. Nevermind the cost of having to move to Switzerland for three months.
