Hi all, new member here and my first post. Just saw an article that I found interesting and thought others might like to read. Something I hadn't really thought of (i.e., having family members die trying to prevent someone from CTB). I need to keep that in mind.

That is a damn shame. Scenarios like this are also why suicidal people are considered a potential danger to others. Cry for help and impulse suicides often involve volatile emotions that cloud judgment. The social taboo around conscientious suicide contributes to the problem by dragging other people into a savior role. That guy was old enough to own his decision and carry it out without involving others.

Think through your methods.
Unintended consequences are really not acceptable.
