I've read through the hanging mega thread and have tied my slip knot in my closet. I feel confident in my method and it almost scares me. I think I'll be doing everyone a favour I'm scared though I'll have to send out all my notes by setting up automated messages and then what if I fail and those messages get sent out then what that would be so mortifying I wanna make sure I'm fully ready

Personally, I would set them to go out 24 hours after my designated attempt time- it would give me plenty of time to cancel them if I failed, and so long as it is not a hot and humid location, my body wouldn't start looking any worse than it already will from the partial suspension. Honestly, 12 hours is enough of a safety window.

I hope you find peace, in life or death.

Thank you I appreciate the advice that's probably best to have a 24 hour down time

Yes, it is.
A friend of mine killed himself on Mother's Day a couple decades ago- but he did it on that day specifically to make a point.

As for the delayed message, I'd put more than a 24 hour delay to it. Mine are set a week afteer the deed

I don't think this amount of delay is necessary, but that is just me.
With a one week delay, loved ones are already going to know that you died. They may be well into the grieving process, and that sudden message could send them back- in my experience in death care, I honestly think it is better for them to receive those messages sooner. A week in is likely to be when the funeral, if one is held, or the celebration of life, happens. This is only my personal opinion from my own experience, but I think that delay may cause more trauma to the survivors. Take this as you will, your mileage may vary.
To be fair, this is assuming that you don't live in a major city- autopsies in metro areas can be delayed for weeks or months, because of understaffed coroner's offices and lack of funding.

I think the people around me can sense my last days just from the way I'm being treated suddenly
