If i was to purchase a gun will they do like some type of background thing on your mental health or something and if I was to say no would they check.

i wouldnt know for sure but id have to guess it depends where you go.
a chain store, probably. some back woods shop that no one even knows is there, probably not.
theres laws, policies, and depending on the person that owns the store/is working, they might not care as much as another place might.
