Hi everyone,

I'm planning to CTB next weekend. In the run-up, I was wanting to read or listen to an e-book and I wondered if anyone had any recommendations? It could be fiction or non-fiction, but ideally I'm looking for something to help reinforce my decision.

Personally, I want to ease my suffering so I'd pick one of the more peaceful methods. I think he talks about using helium although it's much harder to get now. I don't trust the bag; I think it's way to easy to have something go wrong.
The Peaceful Pill by Philip Nitschke.
BTW - you can get it on Amazon Kindle.

It's not quite pro suicide per se (it's more neutral / sympathetic to the character) but Permafrost by Eva Baltasar is a fictional novel about a chronically suicidal woman. Her suicidality features very prominently. It's very sensitively written, I enjoyed it a lot.

There are no "pro suicide" books or books that advocate killing yourself. They would be sued & could be implicated in deaths in some way.
The peaceful pill handbook gives info on CTB but doesn't advocate suicide. It's "pro choice" as is this website. That's as close to what you're looking for as you're going to get. This website has lots of info as well in the megathreads. I sincerely hope you can find what you're looking for. 🤗🌹💔

I'd recommend "On Suicide: a Discourse on Voluntary Death" by Jean Amery.

Not exactly a pro suicide book but "Confessions of a mask" by Yukio Mishima is an autobiography and the author talks a lot about committing suicide, which he later did.
