Yea I had this really bad as a young lady and it was really ruinous. This is why the creation of celebrity is so toxic. If society rewards or elevates certain people a little too much for shallow superficial attributes it creates this feeling in us that we are only valuable if we look like celebrities. I'm not saying that there should not be actors and actresses and famous people. The problem is that Hollywood takes this to a perverse level, and gives celebrities this god like status when they are just ordinary people who happened to have some acting talent or exceptional beauty. Hollywood is closely tied in with control over our minds and our perceptions of the world or society around us.
The controllers try to shape our beliefs, views, moral values to fit whatever agenda they have for us. Typically not for our benefit. So u must let go that your value is tied to your appearance too much. I mean it's good to look nice and take care of yourself as much as possible to present well. Obviously people don't like to see when someone clearly does not care how they look or is a slob. I'm just saying be realistic with yourself about how far u go to impress others because your looks alone will not make people love u genuinely. You still need to be a good person if u can, and people mostly appreciate that more than if u are really pretty but a selfish asshole. They elevate physical beauty to demphasize any focus on actual things that matter in the long run like happy relationships, love, family.
