I've used both poppy seed tea and poppy pod tea. I can confirm that it works. However, just as with all other opioids it's easy to get addicted and, as you point out, it can be deadly. (This was actually my method of choice before.)

:) thank you. My only experience with opiods is Tramadol - doesn't work for me. And Ibuprofen/Coedine, which lifts my mood a little, I've only used it a few times. But it does help somewhat.

According to studies I've read, the trick is to use really small doses.
