Venting Please tell me that there’s some place that can help me if I have nowhere else to go!

Please tell me there is somewhere I can go if I'm homeless with nowhere else to go! Please! Guys, I decided to make a New Year's resolution that if I do not find my own place or a decent place by November this year that I will just end it. If I find one, then I will decide to try to live or recover, but if not I think I will try to end things before November. I'm currently living with a narcissist and I've reached my breaking point several times and almost gave up! I'm not sure how much longer I can take the abuse and manipulation tactics. I have no one, I'm so lonely. The city where I live I have no family or friends.

Now I know someone who went to intake Salvation Army. I heard they maybe can help me by getting me a job there and a place to stay. I currently have no vehicle but I'm desperate! If it's true or if you know anyone who been there, or have anymore resources for someone who has absolute nothing please let me know! If not I'm afraid I will die. I feel so lonely and I miss my boyfriend who passed away so much! Today makes a year and a half since he's passed away and I feel so lonely and I miss him so much! Yesterday was his Birthday also, I've been crying the last few days, while trying to stay strong with the job interviews and dealing with the narcissist is the hardest.

Because of the narcissist that I live with I've been trying to recover from alcoholism but it's really hard being here. I live in the state of Texas and I just need help. I've been trying to find remote jobs since I don't have my own car, and I generally haven't done well with most jobs in this area, but I get easily triggered and I had a meltdown today after someone who I spoke to about a job was laughing at me over the phone. Any help would be appreciated, I'm desperate, I'm trying not to give up!

Hi friend (: I'm not sure where you live in Texas, but are you able to go to a homeless shelter? I looked some up, and there seem to be a lot of options! Look at reviews though to make sure they're safe. I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your boyfriend. I hope your situation improves soon.

Thank you so much! I would probably have to Uber or convince someone to take me to a homeless shelter. The only issue is I don't have a vehicle so I would just have to figure out how to navigate without one. I tried to convince myself that it's better to stay with the narcissist until I get on my feet, but the narcissist is making it to where I almost want to give up, so that's why I'm looking into shelters!

I'm sorry, I wish I could help out more! :( I hope you find a solution and get some more helpful answers! Do you have public transport? It could be cheaper than an Uber/Lyft, but I'm unsure. I live in a very rural area, so I don't have much experience with public transport.

Actually, yes. But I know this is gonna sound really weird and ridiculous, but even though I'm an adult living in a big city, I never tried to use public transport. My whole life I've dealt with people trying to control me, including the narcissist. And I also had bad experiences with people, so I never tried and due to being autistic I just never even tried because I'm afraid of dealing with people because I have bad experiences. And I know it might sound like a ridiculous excuse, but I really do have a hard time figuring things out on my own. I guess I better try because it's life or death now. Thank you so much for being so kind and helpful!

That doesn't sound ridiculous at all! It can be intimidating for sure. The first time I used public transport, I felt like a deer in headlights lol but there's transportation apps that can help with that, I'm sure! I had to download an app to see all the routes and the type of bus I need to take. I'm sure the apps are different varied by state, so I can't tell you which specific one to download. The bus driver can help too. Good luck with everything!

I don't know where you live but I used to get kicked out when I was younger. Make sure you have your SSN, Birth certificate, passport. You're doing good by looking for a job. Any place like Starbucks or a library usually has free charging.

I would love to, but I'm not sure if I have the resources to do that without help. I really appreciate the suggestion though! Do you have any suggestions or advice about how I could go about moving to another state on my own?! I know that there are ways like trains and getting on a plane, (even though I would have to probably financially come up with a plan for that I guess.)
