Maybe some of you won't find comfort in this fact, but I personally enjoy being seen and acknowledged. I just want to let you all know that I browse these forums daily, and although I don't read every post or comment, I value the ones that I do get a chance to read.

So never feel like you aren't leaving an impact. I still remember screen names and profile pictures from an online forum that I was a part of in middle school, and that was 15 years ago. I used to think that online relationships weren't real, or that enough was lost in translation over the computer screen that none of it really mattered, but I was proven wrong when those same forum members I mentioned reached out to me again, and reminisced about moments we had together in chatrooms—more than a decade later.

This is proof to me that you leave behind a legacy wherever you go.

Again, I also know another subset of people who might squirm uncomfortably at that very same thought, and not want to be seen or acknowledged at all. But I wanted to put this out there for the people who need to see it, at least.

You have a good memory. Mine is really bad. Personally I hope to be forgotten. I am not memorable in any way enough to be remembered though.
