I know your pain somewhat. I had to give up seeing my cat when me and a girlfriend split.
We found her together and took her in. It was better for Azula to go with her but it wasn't easy to let go.
Had her about 2 years and it's hard not seeing her and having her with me but I know she's being loved and taken care of by my ex.
