Today I tried a new position with partial, I was basically in the position below, I didn't feel anything. It was completely painless and I felt my hearing fade and arms lose control.

I am worried using partial as I don't think It's a good method at all. But it's all I have for now.

Can someone tell me if this method may screw me over if I do actually go through with it?

Thanks .

I had one unsuccessful partial hanging attempt that failed due to SI. I was physically fine afterwards, but I didn't fully pass out. I was probably only there for 30 seconds. If you stop before 2 minutes are up, you'll probably be fine. Lasting damage mainly starts at 5 minutes without oxygen, coma is very likely at 10 minutes, and by 15 minutes death is basically guaranteed. Compressing your carotid arteries takes some practice. I've found that leaning forward and padding the area where my carotids are helps. Get familiar the neck anatomy. You'll need to make the noose tighter than you think. Try to get it as tight as possible without compressing your airway.

If you want to pursue a method different from hanging but one that is similarly accessible and proven to work, you may want to check out ligature strangulation
