So I've attempted partial suspension a couple times in the past couple of days and I have a few questions. First of all, I'm using a pretty thick manila rope, I think it's either 3/4in or 1in thick, and I'm wrapping it in a towel so it's more comfortable around my neck. The knot I tied is a slipknot and I've attached the rope to a bar with an anchor hitch. Will this rope work for partial suspension, because I know it's more so of a full hanging or drop hanging type of rope.

For the next part, the suspension itself:

See above, position 4? Well I've given it a few attempts but the difference is I lean forward like in the doorknob belt hanging method. My question is this an effective strategy to CTB, or should I not lean forward, and just kneel with less slack on the rope to ensure proper suspension? Should I attempt position 2 or 3, would anyone consider those positions easier?

I tested several different positions, including 2-4. My cartoids don't participate. If they do, consciousness should be lost within 20 seconds (I linked a study about that on the hanging megathread in January or February). When I tried position 3, it was so intense that I stopped before I even put my full weight, but I think that position would be the most effective.

You say, you did full suspension and did not succeed?

Oh wait I didn't notice the stool in image 1, I thought the position was just standing leaning putting pressure on rope which is what I tried. So not full no, two different attempts with partial putting pressure but not even close to unconsciousness.

I think I will try again but with something padding the rope...
