I have h2s gas stored in a steel thermus bottle but I have heard it can explode.If I open the thermus in bathroom then it will explode or I will die by asphyxiate from ppm level of h2s? I did opened it for a bit and it smelled like rotten petroleum. I just don't want it to get explode and wanna die by asphyxiation.

Heat iron sulfide with sulfur and let it cool .After some time , add a toilet cleaner containing hcl and shake the bottle and close it.I think the trick is to fill the space with 1,000 ppm of H2s and not breathe it in until the air reaches that concentration. You open your container, you hold your breath then you breath it in. Or you step outside of the room, after you open your container, and let the air reach that concentration.
