We live in a country were abortion are illegal, i have a friend that needs to abort the fetus ASAP. we tried pills but they didn't work….
Going abroad is not an option. Her carrying this fetus will risk her life. Premarital relationships are taboo legally & culturally.
We NEED immediate help please…..
how can we conduct an at home abortion. Anythinh she can take to induce one…

What country? Are you able to get more pills from someone maybe on dwms? I'm not sure if I'm even allowed to suggest anything tbh like at home abortions are dangerous and mother could also be harmed or it could even be fatal. What you need is mifepristone and misoprostol that's the safest option but it only works up to 12 weeks. How far along are they? Maybe that's why the pills didn't work.

Im in a middle eastern country (u can guess how that is) theyre three weeks in with two positive tests…. Ive heard about using hangers. Would that work? Im a medical student but only have knowledge about the anatomy & gestation period.
I could get the area sterilized & safe… however do not have access to proper abortion instrument:

I've heard about hangers but it seems like a risky barbaric method as useful as it is having medical knowledge you need to be certain in your choice it's high dangerous they could die you both should be informed with your decision. It shocks how that such laws still exist in 2025 everyone should have that right.. I'm sorry that you've having to do it this way I hope it's a quick and painless process I'd definitely recommend getting some kind of pain relieving medication before attempting these methods can be brutal on the body she will need it. I've heard of people taking extreme measures like repetitively being punched in the stomach or pushed down stairs. This isn't something I recommend I'm just simply sharing my knowledge. Use that information however you wish…

There's things that can increase the risk of miscarriage but it's not guaranteed -
- Heavy smoking
- Very high alcohol use
- Very high drug use
- Malnutrition especially in the first trimester
- Anorexia / Bulimia

SHe needs to make the decision within few days, since time is of the essence here.

Try to reach to human rights organizations in Europe, do it NOW, they might help her get a ticket and fly her over or something.

My only guess is the morning after pills. She is past the date when you can take them but it wouldn't hurt to try. I guess the problem now is your country probably don't sell them. I'm sorry I'm not much help

I have to ask how she got in this state... NOT to judge her, but... whatever guy is responsible for getting her pregnant is going to be a loose end you'd have to tie up as well. I understand the risk to her if people find out she was pregnant and worse if people find out she had an abortion... but making sure that dude isn't a liability to tell others is something you have to consider as well.

OP, what you are proposing is insanely risky, and you are simply setting yourselves up for failure. What if something goes wrong with your backyard procedure? What is the mother starts bleeding uncontrollably? You will then have to take her to a hospital, or you yourself would risk being brought up on homicide charges.

Please, don't try to do this yourself. It's not something you can do. Really sit down and think this through - there are all kinds of complications you could face, such as infection, bleeding, etc., where you would get found out anyways.

You guys need to somehow contact a human rights organization - doctors without borders, or the Red Cross, or something of that nature. There ARE people out there who can help. Tell them everything - tell them her life could be in danger if she is found out to be pregnant.

You can't do this by yourself. Something will go wrong, and you will end up seeking medical help where the secret will then be revealed, and you may get in trouble for just trying to help.

Pick up the phone and call someone, anyone.

I'm so sorry you guys are having to deal with such an awful situation - I don't mean to be harsh, just trying to be realistic. There is a high probability that if you attempt to do this yourself, it's just going to make the situation worse - I don't know what country you are in, but you could be brought up on murder/homicide charges just for helping her do this "procedure".

I agree with @P13.14 and @hell toupee. OP, this is not something that you have the knowledge or ability to facilitate as much as I know you want to help. Best bet is to contact someone. My prayers are with both of you.

Mifepristone or misoprostol is the medication your friend needs, they can be taken up to 10-11 weeks since her last period.

Since you're a medical student, do you have any trusted friends you can ask in that group who may know of someone who sells it? There are underground markets in many places, and similar to how recreational drugs are bought and sold, it's often a matter of knowing the right person.

Do not advise her to take the morning after pill (also known as "Plan B", medication names are levonorgestrel and ulipristal acetate), as those pills only work to prevent pregnancy, and they will not cause an abortion.

I'm so sorry your friend is in this position, I'm sure she is grateful to have a friend like you who's looking out for her and supporting her the best they can.

I've taken it before and it worked. I'm sure there are many others like me who believe taking Plan B after pregnancy can harm the fetus. Thank you so much for clearing this up. When I was pregnant, I couldn't afford an abortion, so I prayed for a miscarriage. I actually ended up having a miscarriage. Maybe I was under too much stress or something, but my prayer was answered. I actually cried once I had one. Crazy story I know. But thanks for the information.

To answer OP, I think I heard Castrol oil can endure a miscarriage. I hope I spelled that right. There are so many things out tbere people have tried. Sounds like you need to find a pregnancy site and look for miscarriages and see what went wrong. I truly hope this works out for you. If not, I can always take the baby if you'd like. Just fyi.

Plant-induced miscarriages are extremely dangerous and can often be lethal (and unreliable). OP, there are doctors who help in such situations on the down low, yes in the middle east, so please choose a safe option.
