I always hear comments about my hair and how weird it looks (which is true). I haven't cut it in seven months, but it's not like I don't care. Improving my hair's appearance has always been my dream, but I feel like it's an unattainable goal. Some truths hurt when spoken, so it's better if they remain unsaid.

People criticize me gratuitously as if I didn't already know how I look. I don't need them to reiterate my ugliness!!! They don't know how much I hate myself; they don't know how exhausted I am. Simple everyday tasks are like a huge challenge to me.

My self-criticism oppresses me more ferociously than other people's opinions. My thoughts are whips against my mind. I don't need them to reinforce this negative bias with their damned mouths!

I remember being at the hair dresser and trying to tell the girl to give my hair more volume, but she didn't understand what I meant. She wasn't accomplishing it right, then this other girl swooped right in, grabbed a comb and some spray and gave it glorious volume, she knew exactly what I wanted. See, I feel like that's what you need. I completely acknowledge that this is serious enough to make you wanna die, but I beg you to consider finding a good hairdresser that really understands you and makes you happy. Your dream of wanting a beautiful mane is completely obtainable, is it not? Your hair dresser could educate you on how to keep your hair looking it's style, and believe me hairdressers work with all sorts of hair!

As for the people that comment on your appearance relentlessly, I'm sorry. People always want something to pick at. You don't deserve to be singled out like that. No matter what you look like, a certain degree of empathy is warranted. Yet, people still behave childishly and disregard all empathy. Their comments aren't needed.

People criticise the appearance of others because they seek to raise their power and status by trying to lower yours. It is truly the sign of a pathetic individual.

As another self-critical person who is also being harassed over their appearance, and is suicidal because of it, I don't blame you for feeling the way you feel about it.

Here's how to solve it easily (assuming your problem isnt baldness, then god may help you) ; Use actual shampoo AND conditioner, separates, not 5 in 1 men's bullshit, shampoo every other day, twice, then conditioner every day. Mess with it as needed, try products until you find stuff that's not shit. Ignore the men's section, it sucks balls, aim straight for the women's aisle, their hair products are superior.

It's probably not as bad as you think. You can cut it short and then wear hats or clip ins/hair extensions. Short hair is much easier to deal with so you can try that out. Maybe your hair is just too long and if you are depressed it's hard to take care of, so don't feel bad! I see you in the chat sometimes, I think you are just too hard on yourself. I used to get a lot of rude comments when I didn't wear makeup and I felt so ugly when people did that. I promise you that ur probably not as bad looking as you think.

This is a problem to be fixed by a good hairdresser (or by you after you have taught yourself some hairdressing tricks). It's not a problem to be fixed by catching the bus.
