Mums newest depressive theory

Talked to my mum this morning. She came up with the most depressive theory I've ever heard:

Since we don't know what happens in the "afterlife", it is possible that the pain and suffer we feel in life will follow us when we're dead.

She really scared me. I've never had thoughts like that, and I tend to overthink. Just had to share this with you.

Then you would want to read what established religions talk of the afterlife say hinduism,islam,sikhism and christianity that mention a paradise after a persons time on earth and a persons good actions lead him to a better place in heaven...theres mention of grace given as well like in christianity when the person or the penitent thief next to jesus christ is dying on the cross he just believes in the christ and is ensured paradise...and hadith in islam when a person just so much as removes an obstacle from the road is ensured peace and a house in the afterlife...really makes me want to ctb even sooner

What evidence is she basing her theory on? No proof no pudding.

I don't believe in the afterlife but I do believe in after life. After life is death.

People say all sorts of silly stuff about the afterlife. It's all gibberish, mumbo jumbo. Nobody knows anything, including so-called "spiritual leaders". Religion is a scam.

When people talk to me about the afterlife, I nod agreement and promptly ignore it.
