Hi all. Ive decided for a while that Im going to die by train. Today I decided that I was going to do so. But at the last minute, I was violently overcome by SI and started hyperventilating and shaking all while frozen still, so I decided to call it off. How do I avoid SI in the future?

It's a powerful force and it's difficult to overcome. Difficult, but not impossible. To put it simply, your will to die has to be stronger than your will to live.

My will to die is very strong. That being said, there are also some specifics in my case that make it really difficult: I have severe autism and Ive always just been incredibly anxious (not just with regards to social anxiety but also simply in general). Even the most trivial of things puts me on the verge of tears and a heart attack. Im a chronically anxious, jittery mess. I was always made fun of for being a "scaredy-cat" as a kid for this reason.

you may want to reconsider your method then. train doesn't sound like a good idea based on your circumstances
