Hello! I think I've got as far as I can with years of exposure therapy. I had a severe panic attack and few weeks ago in public and I feel like it's cast a shadow over everything. I just want to ensure that it's not going to control my life anymore.

I've come a very long way without meds and I'm now hoping there might still be one that can dampen my symptoms a bit. All anxiety meds I've tried in the past have had zero effect on my panic, even taking emergency doses of valium did not even touch a panic attack at all.

So far I've also tried prozac, pregablin, sertraline and some others and was just hoping for some success stories? Thank you

BENZOS. Clonazepam is the best one for long acting and lorazepam is the best for long acting. Diazepam made me nauseous... and alprazolam causes too much drowsiness and is more addicting. Benzos completely eliminate anxiety when otherwise I would have started to have a panic attack. They're magic. Only problem is the addiction potential and dependence is really bad, so you have to limit yourself to once a week to be safe.

2nd one that people have success with is propranolol. It's only for physical anxiety.

Those are the golden options, other stuff is way less successful for others from what I've heard. There's buspirone and clonidine and prazosin for nightmares.

I have PTSD , and as an addict who ctb with opiates it very hard for me to get anything like a benzo that would help. Hard enough even when I have a toothache. A real drag. Very little sympathy there.
