I'm wondering why it has to be a dopamine based antiemetic for sn or n. I got prescribed something else on the list (mosapride)

Vomiting is a very complex topic. The best you can do is block dopamine, histamine and serotonin but it also increases the risk of interactions like serotonin-syndrome or EPS.

Nevertheless, there is no guarantee - no matter what you take. You can only lower the probability.
