Why would someone condemn you to life in this universe
Especially when life is a death sentence this is a sad, pitiful life
A pitiful life is often characterized by a lack of purpose, happiness, and fulfillment, accompanied by feelings of unhappiness, sadness, and a sense of being stuck.
It can involve feeling lonely, isolated, and having no strong relationships, as well as lacking love and affection.

To be born and thrown into this cruel world only to suffer meaninglessly for some years until you die and vanish

Life is a pointless endeavor does not lead to a desired or useful outcome for example death
Everything we learn and work towards is taken away from us in the end

The pure peace of eternal nothingness is far better then any life in this universe

I absolutely agree. Life is truly worthless. Humans are toxic, we have destroyed this planet.

I suspect because they are so tunnel visioned on their own purpose. I think some people choose to have children because they feel it will give them a strong sense of purpose. Worse- people who are struggling in life sometimes seem to think it will bring them joy. Nevermind that it's another sentient being they're dragging into this and that they may in turn end up just, if not more miserable.

It's weird- like a living emotional crutch. I even had a therapist once ask me if I wanted children. I felt almost disgusted to be honest. Maybe she didn't mean it like that but, it felt like it meant- This is something you could consider to bring new meaning into your life. What about them though? What if I would be a terrible parent? What if I couldn't shake the depression I was in? What if they ended up like me? What kind of person wants that for their children?

I just think it's part of a sly pro-life trap too. Encourage people to form multiple strong tethers here. Friendships, partners, children. A great big 'support system' that you now feel obliged to stay here for. It's different if recovery is really on the cards I suppose. I suppose therapists have to believe it's possible for everyone.

Still, I'm glad I don't have those kind of tethers here. I'm glad my would-be children aren't having to witness the mess I'm in. I'm glad I'm not having to witness them struggling, knowing that I landed them in this mess.

Ehĥh.... I get it, Truly. But I'd rather agree to disagree with the whole topic. It's All Entirely different for Everyone obviously ... Different perspectives, objectives, experiences, motives, agendas... The list goes on and on.

Even though I hate my life and wish to blow my fckn brains out ASAP... I also enjoyed many parts of my life and remember them fondly. Different strokes for different folks I reckon.... just my .02. Wtfe..

My parents had me to give them meaning and purpose. And now I'm instead the one stuck here with no meaning and purpose.

It's like... I became the "sacrifice".

And now I need to go work full time for 40 fucking years, to pay for my own survival, otherwise it's my fault. But in the end, either way we're all just going to die.......
