After years of self-harm, suicide attempts, restrictive eating, binge eating, and starting and stopping antidepressants, I'm ready to begin taking steps to love and appreciate my body. Yes, I know the body's primary function is to keep you alive, but I'm amazed that through all of this, my heart is still beating, my lungs are still breathing, and, most importantly, I'm still alive - my body never gave up on me. That's pretty incredible. I think it's time for me to do the same in return. Starting tomorrow, I'm going to eat healthily, follow a skincare routine, and move a bit more. I'm also aiming to be gentler with myself, learn to embrace my scars and flaws, and start feeling better, more energised, and secure within myself. That's all :)

it isn't easy, but taking that first step like you have is a big deal.

best of luck with your journey. I hope you get to a place where you're comfortable and at peace with yourself and your body.
