I'm considering a bridge, 14m (46ft). I don't think that's high enough to die on impact, but there's still a possibility of drowning.

The water is cold, maybe that could affect my body's response.

Does anyone have any more info about jumping and how to make sure not to fail?

I don't remember what it was called, but I read on this forum about something where, when in cold water, the body slows processes so that it requires less oxygen to function, meaning it could take a lot longer to drown.

Edit: It's called diving reflex. I don't know all the details, but maybe you could look more into it here?
